Hey how’s it going DooMAD..Happy new year etc Wink

I just happened to notice the news posting you made about your map in Mega5.
If you have an update? send it over! lol
Also I hope you like the name? we can always change that if need be.
There is a slightly newer resource file out also, so make sure to grab it, it allows you to make your map tech-hell themed if wanted.
I was thinking I'd like to get about 5 or 6 maps themed like that before complete hell themed maps..

Also I'v recently planned to revamp the maplist once more so it will start out like this:
The very first map is basically nothing but a hallway leading to the next level. The next level will be the motherboard map, an then after will be mostly all standard tech base levels starting from smallest to largest maps, then a block of 5 or 6 tech-hell red and black levels, then all the hell maps. ~ basically..

Now back to the first level, the hallway, the hallway is textured Matrix style with black background and green characters scrolling on all the walls, to make that connection with the next map, the motherboard. However I have other plans in mind for the first map, although will only work on zdoom based ports that allow you to teleport exit to any map, but that will be a zbased-Mega5 version, but you get the idea. Wink
First map will be a Matrix hub.

I haven't updated anything in the map, just figured it was about time I updated the ol' website. Sadly, that's all I have to show for any mapping progress lately, heh. Still can't think of a better name, so that'll do fine. Smile

Frades might be able to contribute a map as well, I'll keep you posted. I think he's started work on a map, but nothing definite yet.

The Matrix-y stuff sounds cool, looking forward to seeing how that turns out.

Yeah for oldie-standards, The Matrix level will just warp you to the next level, nothing more but show a 128x texture pic of each map in it's hallways. But if ran on a zdoom based port, the map pic texture will warp you to that given map. :P
At least that's what I have in mind for it.

Btw, I noticed a small ceiling flat in your map, sector 300 has a different flat. hehe
I didn't notice at first but now evertime I run around that way, I see it lol.
I guess it could be a missing tile detail.. :P but i thought i'd let ya know..

If Frades is up to it, that would be cool.
He seemed a little grumpy the last time i talked to him lol.

Mega5 has been released!
If you haven't heard, Mega5 was released on the 14th of April 2010.

Thanks to all contributors who hung in there and added to the project through thick and thin!
Special thanks credits to OC-remix and Lee Barber for his music in the portal map00!
Additional thanks and credits to all playtesters!
